Welcome to Impressions of Earth, created by Monique Romeijn with a background in Remote Sensing, Photography and Graphic Design has a passion for the Earth and the Environment and has dedicated her time to creating, educating and inspiring the world about our planet through the art of high resolution satellite image photography.

Impressions of Earth is a Satellite Photo Art Gallery representing Earth in its raw beauty by capturing stunning details of its landscapes, the environment and the present global changes.

The satellite photos in my gallery were taken from the Landsat 7 (15 meter resolution) and ASTER (15 meter resolution) satellite sensors and have been digitally processed and enhanced with every careful detail to assure exceptional color and resolution for your viewing pleasure.

Satellites sensors that orbit and observe the earth have been used for many decades to obtain a wide variety of information about the earth’s surface, its environment and the changes that are happening to this day such as environmental impact, global climate change, volcanic activity, surface vegetation, ocean currents and temperatures, polar ice fluctuations, pollution, conservation and many other aspects.
